K-Care’s biannual 360˚ Door Health Check is included in K-Comply, K-Cover, and K-Cover+.
These comprehensive checks help ensure the continued compliance and safety of each Kingsway Complete Door System across your estate, with verifiable reports for peace of mind in demonstrating due diligence and the ongoing integrity of fire-compartment lines throughout your estate.
- Comprehensive checks covering every element of the doorset including fire checks, anti-barricade, and alarms
- 2x checks per year carried out by a Kingsway BM Trada Q-Mark Certificated inspector in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Proactively identify any fire-safety, functional, or ligature risks in order to correct for legal assurance
- Complete audit trail of maintenance, repairs and compliance checks remotely accessible via Bolster® for simplified facilities management and peace of mind in demonstrating due diligence

We collaborated with the NHS and private providers to study the impact of a broken bedroom door, finding the replacement typically takes 8-10 weeks. Service users are often relocated during this time, causing severe distress as well as costing Trusts up to £1000 per day.
With K-Cover & K-Cover+, if a Kingsway Complete Door System is damaged beyond repair, Kingsway Group will manufacture and install a temporary Emergency Replacement Doorset in 3 working days, returning your room to safe and operational status.
- Day 1: Damaged door reported to Kingsway
- Day 2: Emergency temporary replacement manufactured
- Day 3: Installed by Kingsway and damaged door disposed of
Your Emergency Replacement Doorset will be installed by a BM Trada Q-Mark certificated Kingsway Installer.
Please note, whilst the emergency replacement doorset will be manufactured to fit the opening in question, it is intended as a temporary replacement designed to promptly return the room to safe and operational status. It is not a like-for-like replacement of the original door, and therefore it may not match the original doorset’s finish and hardware specifications.
For K-Cover+ subscribers, a like-for-like replacement doorset will be manufactured in line with your agreed upon contract terms within our standard lead time following installation of your temporary replacement doorset. If not subscribed to K-Cover+, a new purchase order must be placed in order to receive a like-for-like replacement doorset.
With K-Cover+, in the event your Kingsway Complete Door System is damaged beyond repair, and once your emergency replacement doorset is installed, production will commence on your specialist like-for-like replacement doorset to match the exact original specification.
Your like-for-like replacement doorset will be manufactured in line with our standard lead time (8-10 weeks depending on specification) before being installed by a BM Trada Q-Mark certificated Kingsway Installer.
This service is costed-in with K-Cover+ for an agreed upon percentage of your estate, helping you better predict annual costs and avoid unbudgeted and unexpected costs when a door is damaged beyond repair.

K-Care includes costed-in Minor and Major repairs for Kingsway Complete Door Systems.
Traditionally, each Minor and Major repair usually costs a Trust between £500 – £1000 and £1,500 – £3,000 respectively. These unexpected costs can quickly strain NHS budgets.
With K-Care, both Minor and Major repairs are cost-covered, with repairs carried out by a verified member of Kingsway’s K-Care Maintenance Team.
Minor repairs can include:
- Closer replacement (no frame damage)
- SWITCH lock or lockcase replacement (not cylinders)
- Repair to door lipping
- Repair or reattach HLMS
- Replace thumbturn or indicator
- Refix architrave (using existing)
- Realignment of latch / keep
- Replace shower fin
- Free off sticking VP mechanism
Major repairs can include:
- Closer replacement (frame damage)
- Hinge replacement
- Leaf replacement
- Replacement of alarm strip
- Replacement of architraves (new)
- Resetting frames
- Replace shower leaf
- Replace VP facia
- Replace entire VP

The K-Care e-Learning Portal is an online training resource platform with 24/7 remote access designed to ensure complete staff confidence in operating your specialist anti-ligature and anti-barricade systems.

Quantities and scheduled visits can be tailored to suit your individual needs. However, it is not possible to deviate from the matrix of support listed within each K-Care tier.

The Kingsway Group 1-Year Manufacturer’s Defect Warranty is provided as standard with every product at the point of sale, assuring that Kingsway Group will rectify product manufacturing defects reported within one year’s time from the point of sale. This does not cover damage, wear and tear, or misuse.
