The SwingThru Strike Plate is a key component of the SWING Anti-Barricade Door System that allows the door leaf to open outwards without needing to retract the lock bolt.
This system is the simplest and most effective means of overcoming barricade situations. It is particularly effective where there has been damage caused to the cylinder, as all that is required to open the door is to release the SwingStop lock and the door is free to open, regardless of whether the bolt has been thrown or not.
