Its split leaf design provides clear demarcation within the clinical environment, allowing staff to safely interact with patients while keeping the bottom leaf securely locked to prevent unauthorised entry to high risk areas. A simple quarter turn deadbolt secures the upper and lower leaf together to provide normal door operation when needed.

The Split Leaf Door solution for Mental Healthcare
Designed to de-risk servery areas, clinic rooms, ward offices and more, STABLE’s upper leaf can open inwards allowing staff to safely dispense medications or interact with service users while keeping the lower leaf securely locked to prevent unauthorised access.
To ensure versatile functionality and aid dispensing, STABLE can be fitted with a folding shelf to the staff side, whilst a range of servery hatches can be fitted to the upper leaf, such as the KG171 Clinic Hatch which reduces the size of the opening and also provides an attack-resistant Vision Panel for staff to observe the corridor area before opening the hatch.
Together, the KG171 hatch and STABLE’s split leaf provide clinical staff with unmatched flexibility, allowing them to adapt to conditions on ward to keep risk to a minimum.

Ensure staff are prepared should a barricade scenario occur
With the significant risks posed in medication dispensary areas, it’s critical that staff are prepared should a patient attempt to barricade the door closed. The STABLE doorset is available in anti-barricade specifications to ensure staff have the ability to overcome life-threatening barricading incidents if ever required.
By utilising the anti-barricade componentry from our SWING Anti-Barricade Door System, staff are able to overcome barricading incidents in seconds with no need for override toolkits.

Alternatively, STABLE’s top leaf can be fitted with a Clinic Room Hatch, providing staff with greater flexibility over how the door is used.
