The ligature-resistant Duralux Vision Panel is the original high-strength, double-sided secure observation panel for behavioural health environments. It combines stainless-steel pressed fascia with two layers of high-strength Trident attack-resistant glazing, offering our most durable solution for safe patient observation in behavioural health facilities, crucially while retaining patient privacy when not in use.

The Duralux series Vision Panels are available in a number of standard square and rectangle size options. As part of our commitment to helping behavioural health facilities deliver less institutional spaces, the Duralux range offers extensive customization and personalization possibilities. Operation

Duralux can be made to operate from both sides or just one, controlled by either the Kingsway Staff Key or an ligature resistant thumb turn with a choice of ‘hold open’ and ‘auto-close’ functions.

To the patient side:

  • Trident Trident 3/4″ tempered glass
  • Pressed stainless steel fascia
  • Flush fitting with no visible fixings
  • Control options include a ligature resistant thumb turn, a staff-key control, or no controls

To the staff side:

  • Trident 3/8″ tempered glass
  • Pressed stainless steel fascia
  • M5 security fixings
  • Control options include a staff-key control, ligature resistant thumb turn, or no controls

Center panel:

  • 1/8″ polycarbonate

Sizing

Duralux is available in the following square and rectangle sizing options as standard

Square standard sizing:

  • D4400 16″ x 16″

Oblong standard sizing:

  • D8200 5″ x 29″
  • D8400 10″ x 32″
  • D8050 17″ x 29″

Customization

Duralux is available with a customizable powder coat or wrapped finish to the fascia to help contribute to a more therapeutic environment. Customization options extend to the vision bands which can feature custom imagery to help personalize spaces within a mental health facility.

The following options are available:
