Versatile and hardwired

Anti-Ligature Doorsets with full edge Ligature Monitor Alarms

Integrating with our SWING, SWITCH, STOW and SOLO door systems, SENTRY is able deliver the most suitable ligature alarmed door solution for your mental health facility. With bespoke combinations of Anti-Ligature and Anti-Barricade Door Systems, Vision Panels, Finishes, and Hardware, SENTRY is suitable for any location within the ward environment.

As part of a life-critical system, SENTRY is hardwired to ensure optimum reliability and requires less maintenance than battery powered and wireless alternatives, with all the robustness of Kingsway’s proven-to-perform Tri-Laminate Core Complete Doors.

Anti-Barricade specifications

Both our SWITCH and SWING specifications of SENTRY provide staff with a fast, controlled, and safe means of overcoming service user barricading incidents, saving invaluable seconds for clinical teams and service users in life-threatening situations.

Unique detection

Anti-Ligature Monitor Alarm for Mental Health environments

The intelligent SENTRY system is the UK’s first full-door edge ligature alarm system and is designed to help staff prevent service user suicide. With the unique ability to detect ligatures when the door is in both open and closed positions, SENTRY automatically triggers an alarm when pressure is applied to any of the door’s exposed edges.

An adjustable delay to the alarm trigger of up to seven seconds can be set to prevent false alerts where required, ensuring clinical teams are correctly alerted to ligature incidents to help prevent loss of life.

Seamless integration

Following extensive research with our NHS Trust partners, SENTRY integrates seamlessly with our KOSMOS Smart Monitoring System. The KOSMOS system helps clinical teams monitor and respond to ligature incidents and provides invaluable data for future review by recording an audit trail of patient activity and staff observations. This data can help management teams review patient care quality and highlight key trends on wards, such as service users leaving their rooms at specific times during the night or remaining in their room more than usual.

In addition, SENTRY can integrate with all major legacy staff attack and nurse call systems, including SAS, Pinpoint and Guardian to ensure clinical staff are alerted to life-threatening incidents.
